Challenges and Celebrations

Hello all!!!! This week has been a rough one, but we're still going strong! Basically, we were all super duper pumped because one of our investigators, Angelo, hadn't drunk alcohol for 19 days, and was super ready to get baptized on the 24th of April, and very happy about it too, because baptism is basically the ticket to entering into the kingdom of God, and it is an ordinance that ONLY counts if it is in the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints, because the true power of God, the priesthood was restored to the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith Jr. and no other church has the authority nor the power to allow people to return back to our Heavenly Father's presence. But, as said in the Bible, "...the drunken... will not be heirs to the kindom of God." It is said in both Galations and Corinthians, I have to find the scriptures again. B
ut yeah... basically, Angelo doesn't want to change, and doesn't want to give up drinking, according to what he told us. After 19 days, he fell hard in 3. It's sad, but I'm pretty sure we won't be working with him anymore, he isn't progressing and there are a lot of people out there who really are reading the scriptures and praying and going to church, who are just waiting for us to pas by and teach them. Maybe, if he stops drinking and lets us know that for sure he's done it, we'll get back to him. It's just sad, because he was so happy, and then three days later, he doesn't want us passing by. But anyway, we do have several people who have gone to church this week! Fernando, also a former drinker, but a little bit more promising! Karina, the mom of a less active member, Edison. She's always reading and is always ready to go to church and have family home evenings with us! And the family Gonzabay, Isaura and Geovany, FINALLY are able to get married and all the papers are filled out and they want to get baptised right after!!! It's going to be so amazing, and we're going to go to the wedding and it will be so great! Isaura's sister, Vanessa, is getting baptised this Saturday, the day before MY AWESOME LITTLE BROTHER EZRA'S BIRTHDAY!!!!! Happy birthday to Ezra!!!!!! I love you very much and I'm sad that I can't be at your baptism, but I'll be there in spirit! And I'm trying very hard to find a member who's going to guayaquil so they can send your present there from me! But yeah, that's basically all that's going on in my life at the moment! I'm sorry I can't get back to all of your emails, it can be a little bit hard to answer all of them in an hour, and that's all we have online to talk! But I hope this little update makes you all smile, and I love you all so very much!!!! Love you all! Bye!!! Hermana Johnson
